European Ferries is a series of sixteen photographic works developed in response to the 2016 UK referendum and the subsequent reconfiguration of Britain’s relationship with Europe. From Dublin (2018), an image taken at Crosby Beach on the Merseyside coastline north of Liverpool, will be featured in Absence, a photographic exhibition focusing on what has been lost, displaced, or erased in the region.
The exhibition, on view from 5 June to 11 July at the Stable Gallery in St George’s Hall, is curated by sociologists Dr Maike Pötschulat (Liverpool John Moores University) and Dr Laura Harris (University of Southampton), and developed in partnership with Open Eye Gallery.
