Midnight Sitters
2010

A 24 hour, automated photo booth, built for gathering data. These images come from a benign but corporate source. The sole intention was to provide a self-portrait in return for an email address, a name and any commentary the sitter was willing to divulge. It was ripe for abuse.

After hours the post-pub population occupied the space making prolonged shoots, sometimes four hours in length. Mainstream notions of sexuality, violence and fashion curated the poses, all products of an age-old obsession; how the sitter wanted to be seen.
